Hey, will you just take it easy, man. This design is all things Dude: the White Russian, the joint, his bowling ball, and the rug that really ties it all together.

Color – Extremely interesting color selection. I really enjoy the warm golds against the teal field.

Ninja Turtles Weekend!!!

Of course I went to watch this movie. Okay… okay… I know it seemed kind of lame, but I enjoyed it!

At first I didn’t know if I really wanted to go watch this film in the theater. The trailer seemed interesting, but I didn’t know how I felt about the crazy looking cgi Turtles and the whole Megan Fox/Michael Bay baggage. My husband convinced me to go being that he’s a lifelong fan and it was his birthday weekend.

To be honest, while watching the movie I was so wrapped up with the action and their individual personalities that I completely looked past how weird they looked. I also surprisingly didn’t mind Megan Fox too much. She is a very attractive actress and I was very happily surprised they didn’t try to exploit it (outside of Mikey’s crush on her). She wore plain jeans, a tee, and the same awesome yellow leather jacket throughout the whole movie (laundry must be easy)! Each Ninja Turtle had their own awesome personality and I loved how they bickered back and forth like brothers do. They actually reminded me of my cousins, so they definitely embodied the “Teenage” portion of the Ninja Turtles to the best of my knowledge; I haven’t really encountered any other kind of Ninja Turtles, mutant or otherwise!

I think Donatello was probably my favorite of the Turtles. He had an endearing nerdy personality that appealed to me. OMG was Shredder scary! His armor was amazing and terrifying. I think I got cut just looking at all those blades :p. I also really enjoyed the relationship between Splinter and the Turtles. His fight scene with Shredder was probably my favorite. You could tell he was a father protecting his children and he wasn’t just their master.

All and all 2 radical thumbs up!

Is anyone else excited to see Wonder Woman coming to the big screen??? Okay, if Wonder Woman was real and had me looped in her lasso, I would have told you I wasn’t excited when I saw the casting. The picture previewed at SDCC completely changed my mind and I can’t wait for the original super heroine to show us her stuff! Watch out boys!!!

It’s a (belated) Guardians of The Galaxy Weekend!

What a whimsical, comical, action-packed movie! Although some heavy world destroying stuff was going on, the comedy kept it light and fun. The Guardians were a very interesting mashup of characters and it was fun to see how they came together and worked as a team. Each character seems to have a different skill set and had their opportunity to shine in the film. Rocket and Groot seemed to stand out as fan-favorites. Although Star Lord was the leader and the main character, I probably liked him least. I felt his character was the least interesting and his comic ‘moments’ fell short for me. I did still find his back story intriguing and would be interested to learn more about his father and how he relates to his origin. Zoe Saldana and Bautista looked awesome as aliens with their different color and textured skin. They both kicked some serious butt and worked as the muscle of the group. All in all I really enjoyed watching this film. It was nice to just sit back and laugh.
