The final season is coming up!! I have been busy re-watching previous seasons getting ready for the last. The trailers make this season look very intriguing, but I still love season 1 the best!

starCreativity – Wonderful way to portray the theme song with an iconic True Blood image.

starExecution – Looks amazing! Seductive, scary, rough, and the letter forms remain legible.

starComposition – Wonderfully bold and balanced. The contrast of the bright white fangs with the deep red drips are breath-taking.

starComposition – Amazing Art Nouveau style Disney princess. Ariel sits bright in the center as the various little icons of her character are nicely laid out in circular shapes radiate around her.

starColor scheme –  All the colors look amazing together. I especially like how the gradients really give the design depth. I enjoy how the green tones with the bright purple create a nice contrast.

starLines and Forms – The wonderful lines in the design really help give it an Art Nouveau appearance. I really enjoy the various thicknesses of the lines creating complexity. The forms and curve of the mermaid’s body are delicate and wavy giving her an “Under the Sea” look.

Bright and appealing royal blue color behind a simplified black and white image. Although the figure is rendered in high contrast, there is a great amount of detail portrayed through textures and forms. This is especially evident in the well-formed human skull. I really enjoy the “Sherlock” hidden in the folds and curves of the figure’s garment. I also very much enjoy the use of the chemical molecules, gears, and binary in the background to create a wonderful, interesting texture. It also adds nice complexity which represents the figure’s mental processes. Brilliant!

What to have for breakfast? “…Life’s full of tough choices isn’t it?” The evil Sea Witch would like for all you poor unfortunate souls to start your day off right! Wonderful render of  this aquatic villain. Her curling, bright purple tentacles pull you in while her open reaching hands seem to go to grab you for a taste of these yummy treats. I love that her large voluptuous arms break the rectangular frame of the design. The treatment of the larger text is interesting and dynamic due to the angle in which it is in and looks great behind a well-balanced, symmetrical foreground. Ursula is not responsible for any injury or status you may incur including: loss of voice, new legs, your father’s wrath, or true love’s first kiss.

This damask print is covered in masks! Is this design available for wallpaper? Wonderful pattern full of lovely little details. I love how at first glance the design seems so simple and elegant, then under careful inspection, you discover it is filled with lovely and nerdy masks from all over pop culture! Each mask is delicately treated and placed nicely in a grid. I very much enjoy that each mask is portrayed using only two colors and still contains enough detail to be easy recognized. Can you name them all?
